Ridge Water Services Commission
The Ridge Water Services Commission provides safe, reliable water services for communities across southern Alberta. Our member municipalities include the Town of Raymond, the hamlets of New Dayton and Wrentham, within the County of Warner No. 5, and the Villages of Stirling and Warner.
Together, we own and operate a 12 ML water treatment plant near Ridge Reservoir. We also support two additional water treatment facilities and help maintain water distribution services for four urban systems in the region. The Town of Raymond also provides water to over 300 acreages and farms within the County of Warner, Cardston County and Lethbridge County from its municipal distribution system. Currently, the Town has 1 potable water reservoir which can hold 5,178,000 litres or enough to fill more than 2 Olympic swimming pools.
Raw water is obtained from Cross Coulee, which is just north of Ridge Reservoir. Cross Coulee has an estimated 18-24 months of raw water storage capacity for the RWSC to pull from if Ridge Reservoir ran dry.
Our work is focused on providing responsible service, fostering regional collaboration, and supporting the long-term needs of the communities we serve.
